Scimitar of Sharpness

Garu wears this scimitar in a scabbard along their lower back, with the handle readily available for their left hand. At the hilt of the blade some clockwork gears hint at the Gnomish origin of this artifact, hiding magical whetstones that sweep over the blade after every swing, keeping the blade sharp and clean. The blade can be made to brightly glow with the same color as its command word: periwinkle.

Garu Coldscale

  • Lawful/Evil Kobold from New Steinklif, Nor
  • Afflicted by the Therianthrope Curse of the Were-rat
  • Paladin of Tyr's Vengance and Barbarian

Description

Garu is a bare-chested kobold, standing at a scrawny two and half feet tall and weighing no more than a stone and a half. Their scales fade from burgundy on top,  to a muddy orange-brown at their feet. Garu appears frail, wearing nothing more than a short cloth skirt, as they shake and glance about the environment nervously.

Taking a look over Garu, the first thing you would notice is their missing right hand, wrist stub covered with a rounded steel cup crimped onto the arm. Their remaining hand has small claws, matching the claws on their feet. Speckled yellow eyes peer out from beneath a bony, furrowed brow, adorned with darkened goggles to block out the harsh sun. Behind the goggles are two twisted, dragon-like horns extending back over their head. A golden nose ring large for Garu’s size pierces their nose, resting atop a toothy lizard muzzle. A topaz amulet hangs from chain hung around Garu’s neck, formed from their missing hand. It identifies them as a follower of Tyr to those aware of the Nor gods.

Shaded goggles

Though Garu is still sick in sunlight, these goggles protect their eyes from too much harm. Usually worn on the head unless out in the sun.

Amulet of Tyr

Garu’s missing hand was transformed into this topaz amulet, forming a clawed fist. It hangs by tweed around their neck. At one time the amulet had a psuedodragon motif as if it was carrying the hand in its talons, but that has since crumbled away.
